Resumen
This article reports on how television is using Internet in enhancing mainstream media as of September 1998. Mainstream media journalist Matt Drudge, who came in the limelight when he scooped the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal, by bringing it to public's attention first. Journalistic blunders abound in the reporting of the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal. In the past few months, the mainstream media has suffered many embarrassing disclosures that make Drudge's online reporting look like it's Pulitzer-Prize caliber. For decades one have seen the corporatization of the mainstream press. More and more outlets held by a fewer number of companies. This concentration in the news businesses has dented investigative journalism to the point where it's almost nonexistent. The daily news is dry and boring including white bread sewed up in black and white print or blow dried on TV and cable. But, the Internet still has that diversity and it still has that verve. The news consumers now flocking to the Internet in numbers that make the bean counters at newspapers and broadcast networks envious are smart enough to glean the wheat from the chaff.
