Resumen
The future used to be silver, as someone has said. There would be silver rocketships and silver cities on the moon and silver robots in silver laboratories. Now, the Earth itself is the laboratory, and humans, not robots, are engaged in two great experiments. The effective purpose of these experiments is apparently to see what will destroy human beings first. To see how many human beings the planet can hold an experiment was done, it's predicted to be full-with only room to stand by the year 2021. Of course, this is just one theoretical limit. One jocular demographer has estimated that if humans continue at the same rate of population growth, in 400 years the ball of human flesh will be expanding at the speed of light. People may not understand exponential growth, but as they feel the worsening crush they will identify it as various things, quickly finding someone to blame and eliminate. There will be plenty of excuses for those who would promise improvement by wiping out unpopular and minority groups.
