Resumen
The article presents the argument that with the progress in nanotechnology and macronetworks computers would merge into the infrastructure. Nanotechnology and novel modulation techniques would allow to dispense with external devices altogether. According to the author the nanotechnology will allow direct nerve interfaces to computer and people will learn to exercise new senses and limbs able to communicate over a distance with other people, and with objects around them. For this purpose CPU and memory power requirements can be overcome. The health risk from radiofrequency are beginning to be understood. According to the author the most interesting aspect of this technology will be to see what people actually do with such technology. The most difficult problems in this area will be, new models for emergent behavior; in understanding interaction modes and devising technically safe, feasible and ethical mechanism for privacy and authentication would be needed. The idea of a virus invading a computing system that was closely coupled would be fairly alarming.
