In this article the author focuses on need of
creativity approach in thinking among organizational people while adopting new
technological change and basic requirements to improve those creative skills.
He describes that the adoption of new technology often disrupts an
organizational environment by means of business process change, rules change,
and the tried-and-true methods of conducting business lose effectiveness. The
author suggests that a creative approach is needed to best match technology
solutions to business problems in such situations. It is analyses that the
self-help industry offers good advice on enhancing creativity, but tends to
overlook the detrimental effects of prior knowledge. When the task of
implementing new information systems is undertaken by people more familiar with
the old ways of doing business, both fixation and structured imagination are
predictable consequences and the results of these efforts are likely to be
unsatisfactory. It is advised that through awareness of creativity and the use
of creativity-enhancing techniques, individuals and organizations can maximize
their creative potential and better meet the challenges of a dynamic business
