The video arcade has evolved into the virtual concept arcade. At Too Much is Not Enough (XS), the 24,000-square-foot, tri-level virtual game arena in New York's rejuvenated Times Square, game technology has transformed the arcade experience into a mini amusement park with flight simulators, an actual-scale stock car drivers commandeer around a track, downhill snowboarding, jet-ski racing, hang-gliding, and golf, where patrons tee off at some of the finest virtual courses in the world. These attractions are combined with a bar, a cyber café with Internet-accessible terminals, and thumping nonstop music to create a lively after-school hangout for kids, a draw for curious tourists and passersby, and a temporary haven for office workers to while away lunch breaks and gather after work. XS's biggest attraction, a flight simulator with real-scaled cockpits riders strap themselves in for a five-minute, $7 flight, was down. XS is one of the few virtual arenas in business, two other virtual reality arenas, owned by a different company, exist in Las Vegas, Nevada and Seattle, Washington.
