Resumen
Embedded Chips have been used in employee identification tags in many companies. These chips communicate to a corporate system that clocks in when employees arrive in the morning, and when they leave at night. The article delves on the possibility of chips not just worn around the neck, but are actually implanted under a human's skin. It underlines the use of human body as the novel element of technology. The author conforms that there are many signs indicating the reality of this conception. Biometrics, or the scanning of body parts for use in identification has garnered much attention to this aspect of technology. There are companies that use fingerprint sensors for identifying users. The body has already become the new keyboard. If transplanting a chip in the human body becomes successful, the snag of overflowing pocketbook and bulging wallet could be retired. There are apprehensions associated with this, as well. Loss or damage of such a chip would imply the loss of one's identity, and getting a virus may lead to a whole new meaning of an individual.
