Resumen
The article focuses on cognitive modeling for games and animation

The article deals with the employment of web usage mining for evaluating the competence of any Web site. The only information left behind by users visiting any Web site is the trace through pages they have accessed. The Web site owner has to figure out what users wanted, what they liked and what distributed or distracted them from this data. Conventionally, three factors affect the way a user perceives and evaluates any Web site; content, web page design, and overall site design. It is necessary to evaluate the current usage of a site before improving and personalizing it. This requires defining activities users are expected to perform, operations they perform when pursuing these activities, and analyze these operations with statistical methods. This model can be replaced by a system that evaluates Web site based on the data automatically recorded on it. Data logs can be extracted from web servers, and the evaluation process can be carried out applying data mining techniques. The article presents a detailed model to carry out this exercise. INSETS: Sequences and Sequence Mining; Mining Queries in MiDAS; Navigation Pattern Discovery with WUM.
