Resumen
Innovations in technology is guiding human to information that is valuable to them, but people care more about relationships and communicating with people, these are the foci in the future. Scientist's work in the Context Aware Computing Group at the MIT Media Laboratory explores and creates implicit communications between people and computers. Reducing the explicit communication that a person has to do, reducing the focus that a person has on the tools being used rather than on the task at hand, helps to work toward the ultimate goal of decreasing the cognitive overhead for doing the things one want to do. Many examples exist of adaptive computing, such as the simple properties of a jukebox in the context-aware bed. A more challenging and exciting possibilities for replacing human activity with computer-enhanced or computer-substituted activity is under examination. A person is left with the adventure, with choosing and creating things to work on, things to find out about, that no one has ever done before. That feeling of adventure, of creating new tools, of finding new possibilities is more like human behavior.

Resumen
In the next 50 years, collaborations and communications between people will continue to be the passion. Fifty years from now, the opportunity to concentrate and focus on information at a particular level, using the best teaching materials available, with the ability to share the experience, will be available to the people at all times and at any location. Communications media plethora currently experienced by the people will be replaced by engaging escapist, educational, informational, and group entertainment media. Some of these experiences will be interactive, some will be vicarious, and others will be voyeuristic. New innovations in technology gave people worldwide communication, email, the ability to run computer system demonstrations over great distances, as well as the basic capability to send and receive files and software around the world in a relatively platform independent manner. One can visualize and live the future enjoying fruits produced and savoring the time 50 years from now when intellectual, ecological, and productivity goals that seem just out of reach today become pervasive and mundane.
